Michael F. Lee, Jr., CAIA

Michael serves as Managing Director and Partner at Hatteras Investment Partners. He oversees the Private Funds Group at Hatteras and is responsible for outside GP partnerships. Michael began his career at Hatteras in 2008 and has since established a proven track record of advising institutional investors on their alternative investment exposures.

Throughout his career Michael has partnered with many of the leading asset managers in the alternative investment space including ParaFi Capital, 6529 Capital, Morgan Creek Digital, and RCP Advisors. His clients include RIAs, endowments, foundations, family offices, and institutional investors worldwide.

Prior to rejoining Hatteras, Michael co-founded Gondola Capital, an independent advisory firm providing strategic advisory and placement agency services to alternative investment managers with an emphasis on crypto, decentralized finance, and web3. Gondola was acquired by Hatteras in 2023.

Michael received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University and earned his designation as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) in 2011.

Michael plays adult league hockey and is an avid supporter of the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL.
